Agnes' Dark Direct Family Line

Agnes Irene Dark was born 30 May 1923 at Walnut Grove, Smith County, Texas.  She passed away on 23 Mar 2006 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Smith County, Texas.  She married James Clinton Roycroft on 15 Oct 1938 at Bascom Community, Smith County, Texas.  Agnes and JC are both buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Smith County, Texas.  Agnes and JC had 4 children (3 sons and 1 daughter).  JC was retired from Tyler Pipe.  He also loved to garden and travel to Branson Missouri to see the shows.  He played in the musical group the "Rose City Ramblers."

 Agnes was the child of David Lanier Dark born 11 Oct 1883 at Smith County, Texas died at Tyler, Smith County, Texas on 16 Dec 1905 and his wife Laura Mae Bunch born 11 Nov 1887 at Dawson, Navarro County, Texas died at Smith County, Texas  on 24 Jan 1970.  They were married on 10 Aug 1903 in Whitehouse, Smith County, Texas.  David and Laura are both buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Smith County, Texas.

David was the child of William Green Dark born 26 May 1842 at Tennessee died at Smith County, Texas on 24 Jan 1925 and his 2nd wife Emma Sims born on 04 Sep 1859 at ?? died at Smith County, Texas on 03 Mar 1947.  They were married on 02 Dec 1882.  WG and Emma are both buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Smith County, Texas.  WG was a confederate soldier in the Civil War.

 William was the child of David L. Dark born 30 Dec 1819 at Nashville, Wilson County, Tennessee and died 16 Dec 1905 in Tyler, Smith County, Texas and his wife Eliza Green born on 30 Sep 1822 at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee and died 10 Feb 1896 in Tyler, Smith County, Texas.  They were married on 18 Oct 1839 in Marshall County, Tennessee.  David adn Eliza are both buried at Kendrick Cemetery in Tyler, Smith County, Texas.

 David was the child of James Dark born 1794 in Chatham, North Carolina and died 1866 at Tennessee and his wife Martha Gates born in 1794 in Chatham, North Carolina and died ?? at ??.  They were married in 1817 in Tennessee.

 James was the child of Samuel Dark born 16 Jul 1768 in Chatham, North Carolina and died 01 Oct 1849 in Buena Vista, Schuyler County, Illinois and his wife Mary Bryant born 08 Mar 1774 in Chatham, North Carolina and died 17 Mar 1844 in Brooklyn, Schuyler County, Illinois. 

 Samuel was the child of Samuel Dark born 1736 at Byberry, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and died at Chatham, North Carolina in 1790 and his wife Aggie Copeland born 1730 in Essex County, Virginia and died 1796 in Chatham, North Carolina.  They were married in 1760 in Pennsylvania.

 Samuel was the child of Samuel Dark born 1706 at Byberry,Bucks County, Pennsylvania and died at Orange, North Carolina in 1766.  He married Ruth Pope in 1730 at Byberry, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  She was born in 1710 at Byberry, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Samuel was the child of John Darke born 04 Mar 1667 in Glouchester, England and died Jun 1730 in Makefield, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  He married Jane Rush on 08 May 1698 in Byberry, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of John Rush and Susannah Lucas.  She was born 27 Dec 1673 in Oxfordshire, England and died 17 Mar 1732 in Byberry, Bucks, Pennsylvania.

John was the child of William Thomas Darke born 1642 in Lord Ashe, Musbury, Devon, England and died 1700 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  He married Allis Butcher on 19 Dec 1666 in Wiltshire, England.  She was born 03 Dec 1643 in Chipping Campden, Glouchester, England, and died 22 Jun 1687 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
